Friday 56

Another new-to-me meme! Kinda like Teaser Tuesday, which I love ... but on Friday ... and with different rules ... and hosted at Freda's Voice.

The rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that's ok.)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don't spoil it)
*Post it.
*Add your (url) post below in Linky. Add the post url, not your blog url.
*It's that simple.

Rather awesome since when I found this (thanks to My Soul Called Life) I was just hitting page 56 in my current read! (It's been a night ... or two ... of many distractions.)

The book is question is Amy Patricia Meade's Million Dollar Baby.
Since I'm reading on my tablet and have yet to figure out how to screen-cap from it, I pulled it up on my phone for the snippet. More than a sentence, but not enough to spoil anything.

  2. Cute quote. Is this the book the movie was made from? The cover doesn't look like it but one never knows. Friday Quotes

    1. Totally different, Anne! I haven't figured out yet who the million dollar baby IS yet, but it definitely has nothing to do with boxing :)

  7. Oh no, it sounds like Marjorie has a lot of self-discovery to go through if she considers herself the "village idiot" :(
