I finally started reading Katherine Woodfine's The Mystery of the Clockwork Sparrow this week and I am SO in love with it! I know it's supposedly a middle grade/YA book, but anyone who loves shows like (the sadly cancelled) The Paradise and (soon-to-be entering it's final series) Mr. Selfridge and a nice easy-going mystery would love this, too, regardless of age.

Monday, rain, and smoke - definitely setting a gloomy tone! I hope things things get brighter for Sophie and less Monday-ey. Thanks for sharing!

This sounds like a delightful mystery. I like the mood created in the opening, and I appreciate the author letting the reader know the book's setting right away.
My Friday post features THE TIME IN BETWEEN.
Love the cover and the beginning!!
ENJOY, and have a great weekend.
