#BookBeginnings & #Friday56 -- Alan Bradley's I Am Half-Sick Of Shadows
Oh, Flavia at Christmastime! I've only just begun so I'm not quite sure what all will be happening with my favorite poison-obsessed 11-year-old, but I do know that there's at least a plot to capture Santa in the works ...
As always, Friday56 (share a blurb from the 56th page or 56% mark) is hosted at Freda's Voice & Book Beginnings (share the first few sentences & your thoughts) is at Rose City Reader.

Sounds like a fun holiday story! Happy Friday!
This seems like a really interesting book.
Sounds perfect for getting into the spirit of the season.
I like the title of this one. I've not heard of it before. I am spotlighting both and alternate history book - The Inquisitor's Apprentice by Chris Moriarty - and a thriller - She Can Kill by Melinda Leigh - today. Happy reading!
This sounds like a fun book! Great choice. Love how you do your graphics with the quote from the book - I haven't figured out how to do that yet...lol....Thanks for visiting my Friday Meme postearlier

I love the graphic! I've listened to the first 2 of Bradley's Flavia de Luce books and really enjoyed them. This one with a Christmas theme has me intrigued.
This looks fun and perfect for December. Hope you enjoy!
