Today we're visiting A Royal Pain by Rhys Bowen -- the second in her Royal Spyness series and the fourth in my 20 Books of Summer!
The alarm clock woke me this morning at the ungodly hour of eight. One of my nanny's favorite sayings was "Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise." My father did both and look what happened to him. He died, penniless, at forty-nine.Eight o'clock being ungodly early? Oh what I wouldn't give to still be in bed at eight ..... ever .....
Fast forward to the The Friday 56:

I can't remember the last time I slept until eight....LOL
Thanks for sharing, and enjoy. Here's mine: “THE NEIGHBORS”
Looking forward to that one. (P. S. I woke up at 5:30 this morning - and I'm retired! Usually I sleep until around 7.)
Interesting. I consider it sleeping in if I don't get up until 7 AM. This week I am spotlighting First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones. It's been on TBR mountain for a while. Happy reading!
That cover looks fun and story sounds like it too. Had to grin:)

This is a fun series, and for me they get better as they go along, which is usually the opposite with series. I admire Georgie's pluckiness in attempting to make her own way without marketable skills.
Hope you can stop by. http://evilverlordthoughts.com
I love a book with humor, and it sounds like this one has plenty. I'm curious about what the character will be doing at the palace.
My Friday post features What I Remember Most.
Gloom and doom.... lol... Sounds promising! :-)
Happy weekend!
8 would be ungodly for me -- on a Saturday hahaha
